All-Natural Product

Our products are carefully created through the use of innovative and proprietary microbiology and composting techniques. Composting source-separated organic materials allows for their controlled aerobic decomposition, thereby avoiding the release of methane from materials that would alternatively end up in landfills. Completely natural, our products contain stabilized organic matter, which improves the biological function of the rootzone, boosts the soil’s ability to hold nutrients, mitigates runoff, conserves water and stimulates healthy plant growth.

Water Conservation

The high content of organic matter in our products (40-60%) increases water infiltration and the soil’s ability to retain that water. Microbial populations in the soil create pore spaces for air and water, increasing permeability and storage capacity. Our flagship product COMAND can hold up to 6 times its weight in water, allowing irrigation that would normally be lost through evaporation or percolation, to remain and replenish rootzones. Integrating COMAND into urban landscapes lowers irrigation requirements (by up to 50%) and reduces water bills.

Environmental Stewardship

Healthy soils are essential for protecting local watersheds. Organic matter is vital to soil quality, improving its ability to retain both water and nutrients. Amending soil with compost is the best way to increase that organic matter. Integrating compost and compost-based products into the region’s soils is also a key means of protecting the watershed, while providing a number of additional benefits such as sustaining crop yields, reducing greenhouse gases through carbon sequestration, diverting discarded biodegradable material from the waste stream and creating “green” jobs.

Active Research

Working closely with the University of Florida, The Ohio State University, and Colorado State University, we have multiple ongoing research projects looking at the benefits of amending soils with our microbially charged, high quality, stabilized organic matter. Our ultimate goal is to develop programs that build soil health, giving crops and landscapes everything they need to stimulate healthy growth while minding better protection of the environment.
